Melbourne-based artist Deborah Dickson brings over 25 years of experience as a florist into her practice, translating an intimate knowledge of nature into richly detailed oil paintings.
Her works, spanning florals and now her new palm tree series, are shaped by her deep appreciation for the ways these motifs touch people’s lives. Flowers and palms become more than subjects — they serve as markers of memory, family, and place. They recall favourite gardens, holiday escapes, and moments shared with loved ones, inviting viewers to connect their own stories to the imagery.
Through this interplay of personal and universal themes, Deborah’s paintings capture both the beauty of nature and the emotions it evokes across time.
