Steven Joshua is a Melbourne-based contemporary artist whose vibrant, textural works balance imagination and atmosphere. Painting out of Swan Street Artist Studios in Richmond, Steven has exhibited widely, with three solo shows and numerous group exhibitions shaping his evolving practice.

For this year’s Affordable Art Fair Sydney, Steven presents works from three distinct collections. His Dreamscapes merge landscape with imagination, capturing that in-between world of daydreaming where reality blurs with possibility. Alongside these, his Projection series draws on the psychology of perception, inviting viewers to find personal meaning in abstract forms, seeing not just what’s painted but what resonates within themselves. And a new series of works will be presented! Aptly named Portals, these pieces transport the viewer to places of calm balanced with the energy of the dynamic paint movement.
