Steven Joshua
Steven Joshua is a Melbourne-based contemporary artist whose vibrant, textural works balance wit, imagination and atmosphere. Painting out of Swan Street Artist Studios in Richmond, Steven has exhibited widely, with three solo shows and numerous group exhibitions shaping his evolving practice.
For this year’s Affordable Art Fair, Steven presents works from two distinct collections. His Dreamscapes merge landscape with imagination, capturing that in-between world of daydreaming where reality blurs with possibility. Alongside these, his Projection series draws on the psychology of perception—inviting viewers to find personal meaning in abstract forms, seeing not just what’s painted but what resonates within themselves.
Through bold colour, layered textures and playful contrasts, Steven’s art opens a dialogue between artist and audience—encouraging connection, curiosity and conversation long after the canvas has been seen.
