Nathalie Dumont

Nathalie Dumont is a Melbourne-based fibre artist whose background in architecture and graphic design shapes her practice. A graduate of Melbourne University and RMIT, she draws on design principles and a fascination with fabrication processes, spanning furniture, interiors, and textiles, to work primarily in fibre.

Her technique transforms cotton thread into vibrant, painted-like surfaces through a repetitive, full-body process that doubles as a daily meditative practice. Her work explores colour association, perception, and references both the built and natural world.
